Peter A. Hall shares insights into the European debt crisis and how it can be resolved

In his article in Deutsche Welle, Peter A. Hall argues that the European Monetary Union (EMU) was designed based on economic myths which have contributed to the European debt crisis. CIFAR Program Co-Director Dr. Hall discusses the need for a coordinated fiscal policy and a central bank that manages sovereign debt. Dr. Hall argues against many of the economic myths that drive the EMU, and he believes that until these myths are shattered, economic growth is not possible and the eurozone will not recover.Read more
